Rep. Murtha dead at 77

CNN is reporting that Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) has died at age 77.

Murtha was “one of Congress’s loudest anti-war voices”. Anyone want to make book on how long before the wingnuts start the celebration?

UPDATE 02/08/10 3:20 PM EDT: Gee, here’s a surprise, Andrew “Gribbit the Dipshit” Richardson stepped up to offer the usual mean-spirited jackassery for which it has become justly notorious, snarling that Murtha has “been nothing short of a cancer on this country”. Stay classy, Dipshit.

    Other advice ignored from Gribbit’s mom:
    1.  Don’t eat paint chips
    2.  Use a condom
    3.  Go to college
     
    I’m really starting ot wonder if ‘Gribbit’ is a shtick.  He’s just too batshit insane to be real.
     
    Side question:  why does he run that stupid block on people right clicking on his site?  I wonder if he actually believes he’s protecting some sort of ‘value’ to his work.  Either that or he really hopes that people who mock him don’t know about cntrl+c or view source.

    There are far too many stupid right-wing bloggers for something like that to be an excuse.  These people exist in an environment where they close themselves off from actual debate and argument by “banning” people and deleting comments in order to reinforce their unqualified, unfounded sense of correctness.  It’s sad really but it’s also very entertaining on most days…
