It will surprise no one to discover that überwingnut and white supremacist Robert Stacy McCain takes pleasure in reporting the death of a fellow American. Commenting on the death of historian Howard Zinn, McCain can barely contain his orgasmic joy:

At age 87, Zinn has become the only kind of good Commie.

The rightwing extremists in this country are lovers of death, especially when death comes to someone who dared to disagree with them. Robert Stacy McCain is the poster boy for the death cult that is the American far right.

I have got to get me one of these…

See Crispin Jago’s original post for an enlarged version, and to get in line to (possibly) buy a printed poster.

There are terrorists walking the streets of America today.

They are not followers of Islam. They call themselves Christians.

They are not foreigners. They are Americans.

They have killed many of our fellow Americans.

They kill for political reasons: they want to terrorize America into doing what they want us to do.

Why are they not reviled in the same way that the foreign terrorists are?

It’s good to know that the bluenoses are looking out for the children:

Dictionaries have been removed from classrooms in southern California schools after a parent complained about a child reading the definition for “oral sex”.

Merriam Webster’s 10th edition, which has been used for the past few years in fourth and fifth grade classrooms (for children aged nine to 10) in Menifee Union school district, has been pulled from shelves over fears that the “sexually graphic” entry is “just not age appropriate”, according to the area’s local paper.

The dictionary’s online definition of the term is “oral stimulation of the genitals”. “It’s hard to sit and read the dictionary, but we’ll be looking to find other things of a graphic nature,” district spokeswoman Betti Cadmus told the paper.

Notice that it was “oral sex” that raised the ire of these morons — not “genocide”, “torture”, or “warmongering”. One must maintain one’s high standards, after all.

Big Noise Films presents White Power U.S.A., documenting the return of racist extremism to the American political scene.

Racially motivated threats against Obama rose to new heights in the first months of his presidency, with the US seeing nine high-profile race killings in 2009.

Meanwhile white supremacist and neo-Nazi groups claim their membership is growing and that visits to their websites are increasing.

Is the racial undercurrent that has long structured US politics reasserting itself?

It’s a sign of just how far the teabagger whackaloons have taken their “movement” that deciding whether this is satire or not actually takes some serious thinking.

Party of No

Let’s not lose sight of one stark fact — the Republicans, even the so-called “moderates”, have but one political goal right now: obstruct everything.

Republicans, meanwhile, continue to express absolutely no interest in playing a constructive, problem-solving role. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine), ostensibly one of the “moderates” in the GOP caucus, urged the White House yesterday to completely scrap the year’s worth of work [on health care reform] and “start from scratch.”

Shorter Cao:

  • Fuck the Haitians. They’re socialists. Let them die.

‘Shorter’ concept created by Daniel Davies and perfected by Elton Beard, and shamelessly pilfered from Sadly, No.

BarbinMD at Daily Kos:

Rush Limbaugh and his ilk watch the coverage of the overwhelming devastation in Haiti and see minorities. The rest of humanity watches and see people.
