I’m experimenting with Twitter as a means of publishing shorter tidbits and comments that don’t rate a new blog post. The latest from my Twitter feed is displayed in the sidebar. This is an experiment, and I might decide at some point that it isn’t working and discontinue the Twitter account. We shall see.
My Twitter updates page is located at http://twitter.com/meatbrain.
Wingnuts will believe anything that bolsters the alternative reality they have constructed for themselves.

The duty to kill others who are not productive members of society. Sickening.
[Murtha] surely realizes the US Capitol Building is a high value target; the only good thing that might come of a suicide mission-attack on this building would be that Murtha is in his plush office when the hour arrives.
Yeah. That’s right. I hope he gets blown up. He deserves it.
Raven continues to pretend that she has some sort of moral code, even though she has made it crystal clear that she does not.
- I’m going to waste as much energy as possible, because being a thoughtless ignorant contrarian is the ‘Murrkan thing to do.
‘Shorter’ concept created by Daniel Davies and perfected by Elton Beard, and shamelessly pilfered from Sadly, No.
It is already an established fact that Judy Doucette, aka “HoosierArmyMom”, is a prolific liar. And like most wingnuts, she cannot abide the thought of taking part in a discussion based on facts. Now she has come out and branded my recent attempts to engage her in such a discussion as “insane”.
Judy recently posted a Fox News video that falsely suggested that Democratic Representative Barney Frank, who has served as chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, opposed stricter regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. I posted a link to, and a short excerpt from, a Media Matters article that carefully debunks this claim with the facts regarding Frank’s efforts to enact legislation that would impose stricter regulation upon both Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Well, Judy reacted about as one would expect: she spammed her own comments section on her blog with copies of posts from other wingnut blogs trying to sell the same lies. Apparently she believes that if she can find enough people repeating the same lie over and over, it must be true.
When I posted a series of six simple questions, she upchucked a cut’n’paste copy of a set of Republican “talking points” that only incidentally answered the first question. I tried again to get answers to the remaining five questions (see this mirror of the comment thread, as Judy refuses to allow the comment to be posted). That’s when Judy declared that my attempts to discuss the facts with her were “insane”.
This is perhaps the clearest illustration I have seen in some time of the wingnut’s pathological need for a carefully constructed fantasy world, where facts are walled off. Judy Doucette believes that discussing the facts is insane.
What does that tell us about Judy Doucette’s own sanity?
UPDATE 03/29/09 10:54 AM EDT: Boy, it just gets better and better. Judy Doucette has tacitly admitted that, yes, she does argue from ignorance.
Media Matters is heavily laced with the disinformation/propoganda of your far left socialist buddy, George Soros.
Note that this is after I have asked her to supply specific instances of false statements made by Media Matters regarding Barney Frank’s alleged involvement in blocking the establishment of greater regulatory authority over Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. I repeat the question in a comment that Judy has refused to publish:
“Media Matters is heavily laced with the disinformation/propoganda of your far left socialist buddy, George Soros.”
5) You accuse Media Matters of engaging in “propoganda” (sic). Media Matters has published many articles regarding the efforts of Barney Frank to establish regulatory oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Can you supply specific examples of falsehoods that Media Matters has published in those articles?
Judy’s response:
{{ crickets }}
And Judy’s revealing response:
Sorry Meaty, but I am not a brain dead, sheeple who reads the propoganda that socialists/commies like Soros puts out.
Judy Doucette has not read anything that Media Matters has published regarding Barney Frank’s efforts to increase regulatory oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Judy Doucette has confirmed that she prefers ignorance to knowing the facts.
This is as intelligent a statement as you will ever see from “Emperor” Mishwad any of “Emperor” Mishwad’s delusional asswipes:
STFU, Go Suck A Dick & Buy A Sense Of Humor
“Emperor” Misha is “Emperor” Misha’s colony of fucknozzles are a living testament to the need for certain marital arrangements to be proscribed by law…

UPDATE 03/27/09 9:35 AM EST: The beauty of the Republican chart is that it can be used to solve so many problems.
My close and talented friend Buddy Don of Wandering Hillbilly has published his first novel: shoot the devil: life n pinions of buddy don, hillbilly: book one. Since I’m just a few chapters into it at this point, I can’t give you a full review; but I can tell you that I have already been drawn into the world of Buddy Don Duncan.
I bought my copy shortly after Buddy Don announced the publication of the book, and he was kind enough to both chop the title page and inscribe it with an original waka, a type of classical Japanese verse. The offer is still open, as Buddy Don explains at his blog.

The entire book is written in the dialect of the Tennessee hillbilly. This might seem an obstacle to reading and understanding Buddy Don’s tale… but in truth, I hardly noticed it after the first few paragraphs. As Buddy Don comments on the back cover, if folks have a problem with the way the book is written, “mayhap they orta read a lil of it out loud sos they kin here its musick”.
And mayhap you would like a longer sample of Buddy Don’s prose. Here, with the author’s kind permission, I am proud to present Chapter Two of shoot the devil: life n pinions of buddy don, hillbilly: book one:
