Big Dog: Moral Imbecile

In the pioneering text The Pathology of Mind, English psychiatrist Henry Maudsley wrote of the personality disorder that would eventually come to be called “psychopathy”:

Such a noxious product of degeneracy now and then presents itself: a creature of such antisocial bias, so destitute of moral sensibilities and their fit reactions, so imbued with vicious inclinations, that it is truly a moral imbecile whom no culture, gentle or severe, be it never so patient, will raise to the level of moral feeling and conduct…

Such a creature is the moral imbecile who blogs under the nom de hate “Big Dog”, who today outdoes himself by expressing the wish that human beings should suffer and die for their opinions of the US military. Speaking of the city of Berkeley, he says:

If the place gets hit with an earthquake or fire then don’t send your money to help them and if you belong to a fire department do not volunteer to go help. I imagine if the place was burning they would be begging for military helicopters to do water drops. Screw them.

Maybe the next time a terrorist decides to fly a plane into a building we will be lucky and it will be the City Council in Berkeley and get rid of the mindless twits that pretend to be Americans.

This is simply another example of the eliminationist rhetoric so common among the extremist fanatics of the right. Nor is it the first time that “Big Dog” has demonstrated that he is enthusiastic about the idea that people should die for their views.

The desire to see others suffer and die is a manifestation of a deep lack of moral intelligence. “Big Dog” has once again put the lie to the idea that the right holds any sort of high moral ground.

UPDATE 02/03/08 5:25 PM EST: Big Dog continues to demonstrate that he is a moral imbecile:

Anyone who believes that the government should be allowed to garnish wages to force compliance with health care or anything else is a Communist and should be beaten to death.

If anyone disagrees with Big Dog’s political viewpoint, they should die. It’s hard to imagine a more convincing example of the nakedly immoral nature of the eliminationist rhetoric favored by the psychopathic extremists of the right.

    You may have noticed that wingnuts often call for the ‘nuking’ of Muslims as sort of intellectually lazy person’s final solution to the ‘war on terror’.

    I was wondering the other day… since nuking them would lead to radioactive fallout contaminating our troops, as well as the Israelis, the Turks, the Saudis and their oil fields (a fact that wingnuts always overlook, demonstrating once again their stupidity), what about forced abortion and sterilization of Muslims? That would fit in with their exterminationist rhetoric and would have the added benefit of not contaminating us with radiation.

    but would they oppose the forced abortion of Muslims on pro-life grounds while simultaneously calling for nuclear attacks against them? It’s a huge riddle and I doubt they’ll give us an answer because they never consider the consequences of their actions.

    big dog and his cohorts (including Kender, the Dumbest Man on the Internets) are the other side of the same extremist coin as bin Laden. They even define success the same way: more American deaths in Iraq, ever more money spent fighting the wars, America’s reputation tarnished overseas, etc., etc., etc. Wingnuts have strutted (with their ample bellies bouncing up and down) right into bin Laden’s trap – and they’re happy about it! Mostly because they get duped time and again by the Worst President Ever. What’s even more crazy is that even when their folly is pointed out to them, they are unconcerned about the fact that they were — and are being — duped. Perfect authoritarian sheeple they are.

    They’d be much more at home in North Korea.
