I just ran across this and started laughing. Lizardbitch Cao is telling her readers that thousands of antiwar protesters are being paid by activist and philanthropist George Soros.
The hilarious part is that despite given her well-documented history of lies, Cao still expects to be believed in the absence of any hard evidence whatsoever.
Soros Derangement Syndrome™ is an ugly disease. Please keep the families of Cao and other sufferers in your thoughts.
UPDATE 10/28/07 5:15 PM EDT: Absolutely hilarious. Cao is now trying to paint me as yet another of those imaginary “shills”:
Everything that promotes conservative values is a ‘lie’ according to Meatbrain, who apparently takes his marching orders from Media Matters and the Center for American Progress.
Here’s a challenge, lying lizardbitch: Produce independently verifiable, documentary evidence that I have ever had any affiliation with either of those organizations.
Run away now, Cao. Honest discussion is beyond your ability — that’s why you can only smear and lie. That’s why, rather than actually debate the war, you spin wild conspiracy theories about the majority of Americans who oppose it.
And here’s an interesting factoid: As of this writing…
- Number of hits for the Google search site:caosblog.com “george soros” :
684547 - Number of hits for the Google search site:caosblog.com “richard mellon scaife” : zero
Hmmmmmmmmm…
UPDATE 10/28/07 8:59 PM EDT: Hunh. Somehow this post got marked ‘Private’ in the WordPress administrative interface, which made it disappear for a while. Now it’s back.

The fact that Soros funds these groups is a matter of public record. The fact that Soros funded St Cindy of the Ditch is also public record..and withdrew his funding after she want after Pelosi’s seat…and became a liability.
Seems pretty straightforward to me…not that it really matters.
The protestors were a pitiful 0.03 percent of the US population, and reprsent no one but themselves.Soros himself may have his fingers in many organisations, but reality is the king here.
Iraq is being won, the surge has worked brilliantly, and more and more the antiwar lefties are finding themselves on the outsider looking in.
Incidentally, you do know that Soros has millions in *gasp horror..HALLlBURTON..so does Michael Moore.
Hypocrisy abounds.

What is pretty straightforward is that S is making a collection of claims without supplying a stitch of evidence for them.

You want proof Soros funded Sheehan?
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=52358\\
fromtheleft.wordpress.com/2007/10/15/2400/ – 61k
If she isn’t recalled, then Cindy Sheehan could manage an upset in Nov. 2008. Especially, with George Soros’ money to bankroll her campaign. ...
You want proof Soros has shares in Halliburton?
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=54532
Billionaire George Soros has quietly invested $62 million in the purchase of more than 2 million shares of Halliburton, the major government contractor criticized by his own Open Society Institute and the activist group he funds, MoveOn.org.
I can get you the SEC filing if you like as well.
Lastly the protssts: 100,000, US wideif you believe the media which I dont)...do the math
300,000,000 divided by 100,000 = 0.03% of the population.
Case closed.

Uh, no, stupid. Finding another wingnut who repeats the claims you’ve made in a newspaper article or a blog post doesn’t qualify as ‘proof’ of those claims.
Find some independently verifiable, documentary evidence of your claims — all of them.
Yet you just cited products of a media outlet as ‘proof’ of your claims. You’re kinda selective in your disbelief of the media, aren’t you?
By the way: 300,000,000 divided by 100,000 = 3000. How the hell did you make it out of fifth-grade math, moron?

Liar. Meatbrain is a bald-faced liar.
I didn’t say that you WERE one, I’m saying you’re using the same tactics, so what is the difference?

Seems pretty straightforward. Cao links Soros to Media Matters and the Center for American Progress. Cao then claims that I ”[take my] marching orders” from those two organizations. Cao is accusing me of being yet another Soros shill.
Note that she is unable to provide a single shred of evidence that I have any affiliation whatsoever with the organizations she named.

Ogre
Hey meaty, you like to quibble over words. How about analyzing what you’re complaining about:
“according to Meatbrain, who apparently takes his marching orders from”
Did you catch the word “apparently” in there? Apparently:
“according to appearances, initial evidence, incomplete results, etc.; ostensible rather than actual: He was the apparent winner of the election.”
Ostensible rather than actual. INCOMPLETE results. In other words, Meatbrain, YOU are the one who is lying:
“Cao then claims that I ”[take my] marching orders” from those two organizations.”
No, she never said that.
“Cao is accusing me of being yet another Soros shill.”
Lie again, she never said that either.
But no, I don’t expect you to see that you are the one who is actually lying, claiming Cao said things she didn’t say. Then again, it’s the truth, and it doesn’t agree with your perceptions of reality, so it’s completely invisible to you, isn’t it?

meatbrain
False:
There’s the claim.
Nor did I quote her as saying that. But that is her accusation — one for which she can produce no real evidence. It is clear that Cao means to discredit my views by associating me with Media Matters and the Center for American Progress, without explaining why my views would be discredited by such an association.

Ogre
Wow. Somehow I’m amazed. No, I realize I shouldn’t be, because as I mentioned, anything that disagrees with your reality just plainly and simply does not exist in your mind. Did you miss the entire point of my comment because your brain refuses to see reality, or did you see it and consciously ignore it? The word “apparently” has meaning, even if you, Meaty, don’t like it.
There’s a big difference between “I have a flat tire” and “Apparently, I have a flat tire.” Saying “Apparently he won the election” is very different from “He won he election.”
And I love the way that when I provide an exact quote from your comment you say “I didn’t quote her as saying that.” I seriously wonder if you’re so delusional that when you read these posts, you actually only see what you want to see and not what’s actually written there. I’ll be praying for you.
October 31, 2007 at 2:59 pm
meatbrain
And the words “takes his marching orders from” have meaning as well, meaning that cannot be erased by placing “apparently” just before them. Cao was making a very specific insinuation.
Cao very clearly is accusing me of being a Soros “shill”. She does not come out and use those precise words, but that is her intent, and that is the effect of the statements she has made. That Ogre has the mendacity to deny the obvious should surprise no one.

Meaty is paraphrasing.
October 31, 2007 at 3:21 pm
Ogre
I see. So if you don’t like the usage of a word or it’s meaning, you either ignore it or make up another meaning. I’m amazed you could actually type the word “apparently” because you just simply deny that it exists first, and then when I still point out you’re lying for ignore it, then you just change it’s meaning.
Sorry, Meaty, you’re still lying. This is just like when you lied about Raven.

Ogre is lying. I have done neither.
Ogre is lying. I have neither denied the existence of the word “apparently” nor changed its meaning.
Ogre’s mendacity grows more evident as his lies become more desperate.
October 31, 2007 at 3:44 pm
Ogre
Facts 1: My first comment there were 8 lines referencing “apparently” and your lying use of that word.
Fact 2:Meaty’s response completely did not address the word “apparently” and my direct references to it.
Fact 3: Meaty ignored the word because he didn’t like it. Then he denied doing so. Meaty’s a liar.
Fact 4: My next comment spent 8 more lines explaining the actual meaning of the word “apparently.”
Fact 5: Meaty’s comment again claims that since he wants the word to have no meaning, it doesn’t, because he likes the words that follow it more.
Fact 6: Meaty has redefined the word because he didn’t like what it said and doesn’t like being caught and exposed as a liar.
Fact 7: When accused of directly lying about what someone else said, Meaty claims “that is her intent”—deciding for himself what someone else meant—an item which, if anyone else does it, Meaty claims that they are a liar.
You are a proven and habitual liar, Meatbrain. Whenever someone says something you disagree with, you call them liars—while you continue to lie yourself.

LOL, man this is bordering on insanity…. Meaty says something, claims he didn’t, finds false hope in other libtard articles… still gets ass handed to him….
Kid puts hand on fire, pulls back quick, and says “Ouch” Kid never does it again….. Meaty puts hand on fire, pulls back says “ouch”, then puts hand back on fire, says “ouch”....This is repeated several times….

Ogre is lying. At no point did I claim that I wanted any word to “have no meaning”.

What, specifically, have I said and then claimed I did not say?
October 31, 2007 at 7:42 pm

You eliminated ‘apparently’ from what I said. You are paraphrasing which makes what you’re saying a lie. Since in your world, when other people paraphrase, they’re lying, it only makes sense that you should follow your own rules.
Liar.
October 31, 2007 at 7:42 pm
Cao
Did you put a ‘ban ogre’ filter on your site because you can’t find the courage to counter his argument?
That makes you not only a liar but a coward.
So disappointed in you, meathead.

Meaty banned Ogre? Why? Because Ogre is much more logical than he? I think so.

Wow. I just feel like I’m in a complete alternate reality. Is there Twilight Zone music playing, or I am the only one that can hear it? Someone really needs to go over to Meaty’s basement and get a screenshot when he views this page. I honestly want to know if his computer’s just not showing him the comments. Maybe he has giant spots on his glasses.
Meaty: “What, specifically, have I said and then claimed I did not say?”
Is Meaty the ONLY person reading these comments that cannot see what I’m typing? I mean there’s only so many times and different ways I can point out what he said to him and then point out that he’s lying. Should I try translating it into another language?
Maybe I should try something simple. Hey Meaty, will you at least admit that you have, in the course of the comments on this post, actually pressed the key on your keyboard that has a symbol that looks like this: e ? (Without the question mark, of course, as most keyboards don’t have two symbols next to each other on many keys. However, if yours does, feel free to admit that).

I keep waiting Meatbrain… I would like to see you post just one particle bit of real evidence, quote a real substantiated source, demonstate that there is one piece of real solid fact to support the drivel you espouse in your blog and still… I wait! All you seem to know how to do is say negative things about other people and call anyone who disagrees with you a liar! You must be the most insecure man on earth, because if you had any real confidence in the propoganda you kick out and in yourself as a man, you wouldn’t feel the need to insult other people who don’t think the way you do! Confident, mentally healthy people don’t feel the need to go on an “insult attack” when functional, respectful debate is called for.
Grow up and act like a real man why don’t you!

YES or NO, coward?
