I watched the video and Obama said what he said. Like it or not, and it appears that even YOU see an opening for some debate here on what he said and how it should be taken. The world isn’t always black and white now is it? For you, it is when you’re attacking one of us. But when we throw it back at you, the world suddenly is full of color.

I don’t know if Jim Hoft lied or not. However, I do believe what he did could be called paraphrasing as opposed to misquoting, after all, all he changed was the word ‘we’ to the word ‘US’, which is not a misquote, unless ofcourse Obama meant somebody else with the word we, which you can’t argue against because you know it to be true.

I just went over to Gateway Pundit to actually take a look at the article. The phrase you are referring to is in the title. It is a paraphrase of what Obama said. He has the actual quote below the title for all to read. If Jim Hoft were a lier, which I think is less and less likely considering your lack of a coherent response, then he probably would have misquoted the actual quote, not just paraphrased the title to reflect EXACTLY what Obama meant by his words.

As for the word WE vs. US Troops. We is a personal pronoun which takes the place of a noun. Since B. Hussein Obama was talking about our military (as in US Troops) when he used the personal pronoun WE, the word we may be substituted for US Troops and vice versa.

It might have been better if he had written Obama: We [US Troops] ...
but he did not. In any event, they have the same literal meaning.
