Gribbit: The face of cowardice

What would we do without Andrew ‘Gribbit’ Richardson to show us the pasty, beady-eyed face of true intellectual cowardice?

Yesterday, Gribbit decided to vomit out a comment about the recent telephone confrontation between Elizabeth Edwards and the loathsome Ann Coulter. Go and view the video, or even better read the transcript, and then compare it to what Dipshit Richardson said.

Elizabeth Edwards called into Chris Matthews’ ‘Hardball’ program on MSNBC to ask Ann Coulter, who was Matthews’ guest, to stop criticizing her hubby… “Johnny’s feelings are hurt now I would like for you to stop criticizing him” was the message that she was trying to send.

Nope. Andykins is lying outright about what Elizabeth Edwards said. At no point did she ask Coulter to “stop criticizing” her husband.

E: I’m calling — you know, in the south, when someone does something that displeases us, we want to ask them politely to stop doing it. I would like to ask Ann Coulter to — if she wants to debate on issues, on positions — we certainly disagree with nearly everything she said on your show today — but it is quite another matter for these personal attacks. The things that she has said over the years, not just about John but about other candidates, lowers our political dialogue precisely at the time that we need to raise it. So I want to use the opportunity, which I don’t get much because Ann and I don’t hang out with the same people…

C: I don’t have enough money.

E: …to ask her politely stop the personal attacks.

E: I’m asking you politely to stop, to stop personal attacks –

E: …the language of hate, and I’m going to ask you again to politely stop using personal attacks as part of your dialogue.

Read the entire transcript. Nowhere does Elizabeth Edwards ask Coulter to “stop criticizing” her husband — but to “stop using personal attacks”. Coulter doesn’t actually have any criticisms of John Edwards. She has nothing but personal attacks. Neither, by no coincidence whatever, does Andrew Richardson.

Gribbit the Dipshit doesn’t have the courage to link to the video or even the transcript of the conversation. All he can do is repeat the lies that Coulter told during the phone call. (She was caught telling several other whoppers during that interview, as well.) He can’t address the issue that Elizabeth Edwards did raise, that of the increasing substitution of personal attack for reasoned debate in the political conversation of this country. (Note that Coulter also described virtually the entire adult population of North Carolina as “illiterate”.)

We need people like Andrew ‘Gribbit’ Richardson. Without them, how would we know what real cowardice looks like?

Mistakes

No Meat For Brains – You are the coward. You sit here and call people cowards and liars but when given an opportunity to say those things to the face of someone, you cower in your mommy’s basement like the dope smoking troll that you are.

You think that you are smart using proxies from Bulgaria don’t you. You piece of amphibian waste.

Hello, Gribbit. I notice that you didn’t have the guts to use even your nom de blog on that comment. Guess what that confirms about you?

So, tell us… why were you too chickenshit to address the actual content of what Elizabeth Edwards had to say?

I came over from gateway pundit…I followed the link placed and determined that you dislike him quite a bit. Wow, I thought bloggers were compiling a variety of news sources and or their own opinions, whereas a journalist is to uphold the absolute standard of truth.

I have read many blogs, but never confuse them for anything other than that. Gateway is a resource of compiling stories. If one links to the story, they can make their own opinion.

Oh well, these were just my humble thoughts.
