Terror junkie Heidi Thiess has added another turd to her crown: She is smearing an entire Wisconsin family simply because they are Muslims.
Her excuse is that someone at a company owned by one of the family members made a rude and stupid remark via email to an American soldier in Iraq. According to the company owner, the employee who sent the email has been fired — but of course, this is not enough for our dear Heidi. Over at Flight Pundit, good ol’ boy Michael decides to come out of his closet and put his racist, eliminationist rhetoric on public display:
...consider the ever-increasing population of Muslims in this country. Would hunting licenses be a solution to the Jihadi problem? Granted, we would never hunt Jihadis for meat, and few of us would ever want to mount them on the wall of our study as trophies . . . but they do present problems that would seem to warrant a common sense solution. Plus, unlike deer, Muslims could shoot back, which would be a more sporting proposition.
Besides, Muslims are not majestic, cute, or adorable. But the real question is, do we have the moral courage to issue annual hunting licenses?
‘Scuse me, Michael, but you’re a complete and utter fool. It takes no moral courage to call for the murder of other people. Over at Gateway Pundit, mendacious blowhard ‘Midwest Jim’ has decided to spin another tall tale:
The elite media is keeping its distance from Barak’s socialist past and present. His Far Left voting record tells part of his Far Left story and his speeches and early days in New York dot the “i” and cross the “t” in socialist!
Notice that Jimbo doesn’t actually present the tiniest shred of evidence that Obama has anything that resembles a “Far Left voting record”. He merely states it as though it were fact. The capital letters in “Far Left” are a nice touch, too. They are there to make it appear as though Obama’s alleged “Far Left” record is a Matter of Established Fact. Of course, in reality, the capitalized phrase “Far Left” is merely Jimbo-speak for “something with which I want to smear Obama without bothering to produce any actual facts”.
This is what Obama had to say about capitalism adn free enterprise back in March 2006:
“The reason they don’t believe that government has a role in solving national problems is because they think government is the problem,” Obama said to approximately 1,500 people at the Kansas Democratic Party Washington Days convention.
Obama, a Democrat from Illinois, said Bush’s political philosophy consists of giving tax breaks and encouraging “everyone to go buy your own health care, your own retirement and security, your own child care, your own schools, your own private security forces, your own roads, your own levees.
“It’s called the ownership society. In our past there has been another name for it; it’s called social Darwinism. Every man or woman for him or herself,” he said.”
Did you catch it? Jimbo claims that the quotation embodies Obama’s views on “capitalism adn (sic) free enterprise”... when the quoted material in fact has nothing whatever to do with capitalism and free enterprise! Agan, Jimbo demonstrates the basic principle: when you can’t find a good smear, just make it up out of thin air!
To paraphrase what Ed Brayton said earlier today: This isn’t thinking, it’s non-thinking. It’s a convenient shortcut to avoid thinking: Obama = socialist = I don’t have to actually analyze and criticize anything Obama has said or done, I can just say the word “socialist” and I’ve vomited up a nice, baseless ad hominem attack.

No, you lying reptilian bitch. He’s back online after his former ISP, 1&1, shut down his blog. That’s a matter of record.
CBS News: “Media critic Spocko became one of the most searched people on Technorati after his blog, Spocko’s Brain, was shut down by The Walt Disney Company.”
MediaDailyNews: “Neil Simpkins, spokesperson for ISP provider 1&1 Internet, says his company received the same letter from ABC Radio that was sent to Spocko’s Brain, citing unauthorized use of copyrighted material. He says 1&1 gave Spocko one week to pull the material, and when he did not, the ISP pulled his site Jan. 2.”
EFF: “ABC-corporate struck back, sending a vague, threatening letter [PDF] to his hosting company, 1&1 Internet, who promptly shut him down instead of standing up for his rights. (Spocko, now back online, subsequently moved his business to Computer Tyme, a host with more backbone.)”
I will note here that according to Spocko, he did comply with the request from 1&1 and pulled all the audio files. They took down his site anyway. I have no independent way to confirm this, but guess what, Cao: You’re a confirmed liar. Spocko isn’t.
When, Cao? When are you going to learn that you cannot lie with impunity? You’re just too fucking stupid to lie with any chance of success. Why don’t you try honesty for a change? I know, I know… it would be a massive lifestyle change for you, and God knows you’ve never had any practice at it.

San Francisco ISP Shuts Down Website After Disney Complaint
...the ISP, 1&1 Internet, acted after receiving complaints from ABC Radio that the posted material violated the Walt Disney Company’s copyright. However, the operator of the site, who goes by the online name “Spocko,” insisted that the audio postings represented “fair use” and maintained that Disney had acted because KSFO advertisers whom he had contacted, including Netflix, MasterCard, Bank of America, and Visa, have already withdrawn advertising from the station.
And still you lied. What possible justification can you have for this utter, wanton act of complete dishonesty and disrespect for your readers?

Message to meathead: stop sending me unsolicited emails, I’m not interested in reading your personal insults directed at me.
Say what you mean, lying bitch: you want your lies to go unremarked upon. Ain’t gonna happen. My comments, and my emails to you, will continue. I’m not interested in your wishes, Cao. I’m interested solely in making certain that your lies end up right back in your face.
The simple fact is that you lied about Spocko. He reported truthfully that his site was taken down. You posted that fact yourself — and then decided to ignore it when it was expedient to claim that Spocko had lied.
If you feel ‘insulted’ that I’ve called you a liar, there is a very simple solution: just stop lying. I know that will be a challenge for you. Frankly, I don’t expect you to even try to tell the truth. And I expect that if you do try, you’ll fail. Dishonesty has been a part of your character for far too long now. But who knows? Maybe, if you did try to be truthful, you might succeed. Unlikely, but they say that miracles can still happen…
David Neiwert has posted a lengthy interview with Spocko, the blogger who has been bringing the hatemongering rhetoric of right-wing radio personality Melanie Morgan to the attention of her advertisers.
I am so going to enjoy ripping Cao a new one tonight. We already know that she’s a lying, clueless hack, but it’s so nice when she cooperates by posting more evidence of her willing mendacity.
Cao has noticed that wingnut radio host Melanie Morgan is upset that some of her eliminationist rhetoric has been brought to the attention of some of her advertisers, by a fellow who goes by the nom de blog Spocko. Some of the advertisers bailed out of their sponsorship of Morgan’s show.
Morgan and her fellow mouth-breathers, Cao included, are trying to paint this as some kind of attack on Morgan’s right to free speech. Horse hockey. Clay wants us to remember the Holocaust, apparently because he wants us to repeat it: “If there is to be any genocide in human history, it must be directed against them”. His “battle cry” would be more accurately rendered as “Remember the Holocaust, and let’s do it again!”

This should be standard procedure for every Presidential speech from now on — hell, for every significant speech by every senior administration official and Presidential candidate, at a minimum.

The mental disintegration of the right-wing wankosphere continues. Dan Paden wants to bomb Israel as retribution for the next terrorist attack. That’s right: He wants to bomb Israel. Oh, and he wants to enrage every Muslim in the world, so that we have all billion or so of them to deal with, rather than the tiny minority of extremist Muslims that engage in terrorism now.
You can’t make this stuff up. Danny, please call an orderly and have your thorazine drip checked.

Greg Sargent at TPMCafe has nicely gutted the “Kerry-got-snubbed-by-the-troops” horseshit that Cao and other wingnuts have been flogging for the past couple for weeks. Poor Cao doesn’t understand why:

It tells us that the claim that Kerry was snubbed by the troops is a goddamn lie, idiot.
Why isn’t he using this as a photo opportunity to stand proudly with guys who are serving, and if photos like that exist, then let’s see them.

In one of her recent posts, Kit Jarrell pimps another blogger’s list of allegedly “loony” comments made on the liberal site Democratic Underground. There are nutballs at every point along the political spectrum, so it is no surprise that if one goes hunting, one can find idiotic comments from the left.
I will not call Kit an idiot, as she is obviously an intelligent woman. But she is also bereft of any moral competence. Recall that Kit advocates mass murder as an instrument of national security.
You’ve got a beam stuck in your eye, Kit. You might want to have that looked at.
Kit Jarrell wants a liberal to come on her show for a “debate”. One simple question: Since we already know that Kit has absolutely no compunction against lying about what other people have said, how could any debate with her possible be considered honest and fair? She is simply not capable of such a discussion.
