Jay Stephenson: still an ignorant, racist asswipe

Yes, Jay “rope + tree + ACLU lawyer = pinata” Stephenson has again proven what a festering boil on the ass of the wingnutosphere he has become. He has posted video of a UCLA student who was tasered — repeatedly — by the UCLA campus police for the heinous crime of Using The Library While Brown:

I also don’t understand why people make such a big deal out of tasers. They are non-lethal.

The ACLU have made it clear that they are against the use of tasers and are usually first to the scene in an incident like this. They may not get involved on this one, as CAIR is the first to arrive.

Let’s deal first with Jay’s incredible ignorance: “tasers… are non-lethal”?

Never let it be said that Jay Stephenson has ever once bothered to research the facts before opening his big mouth.

Now, why does Jay find this worthy of posting to his blog? One reason, and one reason only: the student’s name was Mostafa Tabatabainejad, which strongly implies that the student was a Muslim. For Jay Stephenson and his fellow terror weenies, any Muslim must be a terrorist (or at least a terrorist sympathizer). You can just hear the teeny little gears turning in Jay’s so-called mind: CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) involved? Dude musta been a terrorist!

It’s racism, pure and simple. That’s why Jay posted the video: not because the video is blatant proof of an unjustified assault (and that’s exactly what it is), but so that his buddies could get their jollies watching one of the Terrifying Brown People™ being assaulted.

I know that it’s redundant to point out that Jay’s attitude is fed by both racism and ignorance — but it’s not often that one finds an example that so starkly demonstrates how closely the two qualities are coupled.

I’m mildly aghast, as anyone should be, that a fair number of Americans are as ill-bred and idiotic as Jay Stephenson and vote and rant accordingly; divorcing Stop the ACLU’s misguided pipsqueak mission, its fumblefuck thinking, its contributors’ raucous dishonesty, and their galactic and stupefying ignorance from the vast potential for harm these traits entail, I’m also amused by Jay, Gribbit et al.

But I’m not surprised at all. These assholes were already outraged when the Republicans controlled every branch of government, and it was clear that when the Democrats took over both houses that their only choice was to somehow elevate an already deafening level of pointless noise and hollowly bitter complaints. The dark of mind are nothing if not predictable, and each of these clowns has done exactly as expected. May they all crash their ATVs into mobile gun-and-Bible shops on their way to anti-gay rallies held at all-you-can-gorge pork-rind buffets, and in the process forget their blogger passwords and lose their voter regisration cards.
