Yesterday, Heidi at Euphoric Reality told the story of her quest to ask the folks at the Israeli newspaper Haaretz some questions. She had posted these questions as comments to one of their stories, and found later that her comments had been deleted. In a follow-up comment, she asked:
Do you not have the intellectual honesty to allow scrutiny of your work? It’s clear that Heidi considers anyone who deletes hard questions asked of them to be an intellectual coward. So, anticipating a highly informative and enlightening discussion, I posted a few questions about Qana and the Israeli attacks on Lebanon at Heidi’s own blog. I took care to capture a mirror of the page just after adding my comment. Imagine my shock and dismay when, upon viewing the page this morning, I found that my questions had been deleted.
Heidi, do you not have the intellectual honesty to allow scrutiny of your work?
UPDATE: 08/04/06 23:16 PM: Well, we have our answer. Mere minutes after I posted the above as a comment at Heidi’s blog, she has deleted it.
Now we know. Heidi indeed does not have the intellectual honesty to allow scrutiny of her work. Quelle surprise…
